Licence Migration

If you want to move your existing DicomObjects licence from one machine to another, this involves deactivating the licence on the original device and then activating it on the new one. Please read the following information and instructions to ensure your licence migration goes smoothly.

Deactivation

If you want to use your current licence on a different device, you will need to deactivate it from the existing device first. There are two supported methods for deactivating a licence:

Using Licence Manager
Programmatically via code

Using the Licence Manager Tool

Each product type includes a Licence Manager available in the examples section. This tool allows users to activate or deactivate licences. Follow these steps to deactivate one or more licences.

Download the Licence Manager (compiled). You should download the Licence Manager that matches the same product type you originally used for activation.

Run the Licence Manager executable as an administrator.

If the machine does not have internet access, take and save a screenshot of the Licence Manager that shows your current licence(s) and the MachineID.

3. To deactivate a specific licence, select the licence from the list and click the "De-Activate Selected Licence" button. To deactivate all licences, click the "De-Activate All Licences" button.

Restart the Licence Manager executable as an administrator.

If the machine does not have internet access:

Take and save another screenshot of the Licence Manager.
Send the screenshots to our Accounts team, specifying which licence key(s) you have deactivated.
Our Accounts team will send back a confirmation along with a reinstall licence key for reactivation.
